Please spare a thought and remember in prayer those of our church family who are not 'connected' to social media, Facebook or the internet and who will probably be feeling more isolated than those of us who are privileged enough to be able to seek out resources to help us in our devotions and worship. Give them a call, help them to feel connected. We are printing out 'booklets' of the weekly thought and posting/delivering them to those we are aware of.
During these days and maybe weeks when we will not be able to meet together in corporate worship on a Sunday morning, our Officers (Pastors) Graham and Angie will be providing a thought and a prayer for each of us to share in. We will also include a song and The Band and The Songsters (choir) will make a contribution to this 'virtual' time of reflection and personal worship. As time develops we may be able to get more creative with how this looks and we sincerely hope and pray that this new way of sharing together, but apart, will bring us closer to each other and to God as we continue to seek him and his purpose for our lives.
Each week there will be a new page added so that you can refer back to previous weeks if you want to. Select the week you want from the drop down menu above. |
Resources:
There are many many resources available to you at this time when your church family are unable to meet together. Different Salvation Army churches are finding new ways to communicate and share worship. We at Bedford are working on developing our capabilities and may, in the near future, be able to share in video worship but for now our Officers (Pastors) are producing a weekly Thought and Reflection which we will share on pages within this section of our Website. Other options open to you via facebook, email devotions, phone Apps and podcasts some that have been brought to our attention are: Facebook: Govan Salvation Army Community Church Glasgow City Salvation Army The Salvation Army Felixtow, Church and Community Centre Podcasts: Going to the Army - Marc Harry www.goingtothearmy.podomatic.com Email: There are many devotional emails that can be sent directly to you on either a daily or weekly basis.
